Martha J. Colbert, 80, of Cromwell, IN passed away at 11:13 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, IN. She was born on September 28, 1936 to Edward M. & Norma (Bartholomew) Cornelius.
She graduated from High School and was married on November 17, 1967 in Peru, IN to Samuel L. “Sam” Colbert who preceded her on June 4, 2010. She moved to the Syracuse / Cromwell area in 1967 and was formerly employed at McCullough Excavating in Syracuse for 20+ years & Kay’s Next to New Shop in Syracuse.
She was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Syracuse
She is survived by:
Son – Scott Colbert of Cromwell
3 Grandchildren – Sofia Elizabeth, Brayden Layne, and Jillian Rose
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter – Angela French, and brother – Edward Corneliuos.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 7812 E. Vawter Park Rd., Syracuse, IN with Fr. Larry Biller officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington Sty., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
