Mary Evans

Mary L. Evans, a resident of Goshen, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Goshen Hospital. She was 89 years old. Mary was born in Pulaski County on June 22, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Henry and Marion Evans.

Professionally, she spent much of her life as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and other textile arts. She genuinely enjoyed making outfits for dolls and nativity sets of all sizes and was proud to have outfitted the dolls which were used to celebrate Texas’ statehood centennial while living there. More personally, Mary was independent and strong willed. She was occasionally stubborn but had a heart for the Lord. She was very active in her church, Spirit of Faith Fellowship.

Surviving Mary are six children and their families: Paul DePoy, Sheila Mato, Kara Miller, Deana Hlas, Lisa DePoy and Kenneth DePoy. A sister, Loretta Shuler also survives as do several close friends and her church family.

Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw is entrusted with her care. A graveside service will be scheduled in the coming days with burial at Oakwood Warsaw. Written condolences may be left for the family at www.TitusFuneralHome.com
