Mary Jo Hite Seitner passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was 82 years old.
Mary was born on February 9, 1934 in Grantsville, West Virginia to her first parents, Lee and Merrell McCartney. She was later adopted and raised by Charles and Mildred Johnson. She spent most of her lifetime in Kosciusko County.
Mary was united in marriage to Carl Seitner on January 7, 2004 in Warsaw. They shared many happy memories before his death on May 17, 2009.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved going fishing. She also loved to attend garage sales. She was a member of the Early Apostolic Bible Training Center.
Those who survive include her children: daughter, Linda (Ron) Smith of Palestine, Indiana, son, Mike (Maria) Seitner of Warsaw, Indiana, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 7 great, great grandchildren, many step children, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Marilyn While of Texas, and Debbie Sutton of New Paris, Indiana, a half sister, Doris Puckett of Claysville, Ohio, and one brother, Darrell McCartney of Leary, Ohio.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Seitner(May 17, 2009); son, David Seitner(April 14, 1990); grandson, David Matthews Seitner; two brothers: Raymond and Leon McCartney; and one sister, Dean Cunningham.
Friends may join for a time for visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 23, 2016 in the funeral home. Pastor Dean Ealey of Early Apostolic Bible Training Center will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, Indiana.
Gifts in memory of Mary may be given to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses, and may be sent to P.O. Box 705, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-0705.
