Mary I. Mace

Mary I. Mace, 99, of North Webster, IN passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. She was born on February 12, 1920 in Antwerp, OH to Orbrie & Gay Etta (Reeb) Babcoke.

She graduated in 1938 from Central High School in Fort Wayne, IN and was married on December 29, 1939 in Ft Wayne, IN to Kenneth R. “Ken” Mace who preceded her in September 1998. She was a homemaker most of her life and occasionally worked at Cousins Jewelry Store in Ft. Wayne. She lived most of her life in Ft. Wayne before moving to Sebring, FL in 1999 and then to Kosciusko County in 2003 from Florida.

She is survived by:

2 Daughters – Sandra Wappes of North Webster & Nadine Robinson of Kendallville

7 Grand, 12 Gt. Grand, and 7 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Mildred “Millie” Wagner of WI

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 sisters – Helen Evans, Connie Hosford, Joyce Shuler, Genoise Babcoke, and Zelpha Sarber, brother – Garold Babcoke and an infant brother.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. A private family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.
