Mary J. Miller

Mary Jane Miller, 84, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 6:37 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. She was born on October 3, 1928 in Toledo, OH to Arthur & Myrtle M. (Bushong) Robinson.

She was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and graduated in 1946 from Syracuse High School. She was married on July 4, 1946 in Syracuse to Roy “Doc” Miller Jr. who preceded her in death on March 12, 1986.

She retired from Johnson Controls in Goshen after 40 years of service and formerly attended the Grace Lutheran Church in Syracuse.

She is survived by:
2 Sons – Tom Miller of Syracuse & Jon (wife, Mandie) Miller of Leesburg
3 Grand, 5 Step Grand, 2 Gt. Grand, & several Step Gt. Grandchildren
Sister – Margaret Darr of Syracuse

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson - Andy Miller, and 4 Brothers – Grover, Tom, Jim & Bob Robinson.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN.  Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Rice Jr. of the Walnut Church of the Brethren in Argos. Private burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
