Biography
Maurice Guiff, 67, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in his Akron, Indiana home.
Maurice was born April 22, 1949 in Warsaw, Indiana to Joseph William and Gwendolyn Lamoine (Bidwell) Guiff. He was a 1967 graduate of Pierceton High School, Pierceton, Indiana.
Maurice and M. Sue Nellans were married October 4, 1986 in Warsaw. He lived his life in Kosciusko and Fulton Counties.
Retiring in 1992, Maurice was a tool and cutter grinder with Zimmer for 20 years.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid trap and skeet shooter. He also loved riding his Harley and was a member of H.O.G.
Survivors include Sue – his wife of 30 years; 2 sons: Matthew Guiff of North Manchester and Todd Joseph Guiff of Warsaw; his daughter and son-in-law: Carol and Doug Norment of Wolcottville, Indiana; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Maurice was preceded in death by his father: Joseph W. Guiff in 1963, his mother: Lamoine Scott in 2001; and 2 half-sisters: Rosalie Caukin and Joan Hanley.
There will be a memorial visitation Friday, February 17th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will take place at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Maurice’s memory be given to 4-H Shooting Sport or to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, 235 Wealthy Street SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503
