Max Scott

Max L. Scott, 53, of North Webster died at 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on June 14, 1955 in Kokomo, IN to Russell Max & Dorrena Rosedale (Featherston) Scott.

He graduated in 1973 from Lewis Cass High School in Walton, IN and was married on July 31, 1974 in Galveston, IN to Rebecca S. Quirk who survives. He moved to North Webster in 2003 from Ohio and was the Director of Tippecanoe Camp & Retreat Center in North Webster. He has served in the camp ministry for 20 years and formerly served at Indian Creek Camp in Bedford, IN for 14 of those years. He also farmed from 1964 until 1996. He was a member of Oswego Baptist Church, Future Farmers of America, & Young Farmers and attended the North Webster Church of God.

He is survived by:
Wife - Rebecca Scott of North Webster
1 Daughter - Mrs. Brian (Jessica) Taylor of North Webster
2 Sons - Jeremy Scott of North Webster & Jason Scott of Jasper, IN
1 Grandson - Quentin Taylor
1 Sister - Nancy Elliott of Lucerne, IN

He was preceded by: Parents, & 1 Sister - Linda Waddelton

Visitation will be from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 at the North Webster Church of God, 301 N. Main St., North Webster, IN and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the church. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the church with John McKay of the Bethel Baptist Church, Columbus, IN and Pastor Jeff Boyer of the North Webster Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition).

Memorial bequest may be given to Tippecanoe Camp & Retreat Center, 6 EMS T52A Lane, North Webster, IN 46555. Envelopes will be available at the church.
