Maxine D. Scott

Maxine D. Scott, 88, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Warsaw Meadows Care Center.  She was born on June 18, 1924 in Kentland, IN to Earl and Jessie L. (Mowery) Simmons.

She grew up in Huntington, IN and attended Rock Creek High School in Huntington. She moved to the Syracuse area from Huntington and had also lived in El Cajon, CA and Eatonville, WA. On September 11, 1940 in Markle, IN she married Wallace T. Scott who preceded her in death on July 5, 1999. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Barth Manufacturing in Milford, IN.

She was a member of the Milford Christian Church in Milford.

She is survived by:
2 Daughters – Mary Ellen Bieber of Pueblo West, CO & Carol “Sue” (Tom) McClintic of Milford
5 Grand & 9 Gt. Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister – Dorothy Rust.

Private family graveside services will be held at Syracuse Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial bequest may be given to donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
