Melissa Sue (Prater) Cupp, 44, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, at 7:33 PM in her Pierceton, Indiana home.
Melissa was born November 16, 1969 in Warsaw, Indiana to John and Bonnie (Hamilton) Prater. She had resided in Kosciusko County all her life.
Melissa was a 1988 graduate of Whitko High School where she held numerous Track and Field records; she then continued her education in Nursing School to become a Registered Nurse and worked in Hospitals and Nursing Homes.
She very much enjoyed being around friends and family. She was always giving and doing anything she could for anyone she could.
Survivors include her parents: John and Bonnie Prater of Warsaw; son: Brandon Hurley, Pierceton; step-sons: Jeremy Hurley of Tuscola, IL; Joseph Hurley of Warsaw; Alexander Hurley of Warsaw; brothers: Eric Prater of Centerville, MO; Peter Peconga of Warsaw; Adam Prater of Burket; and Jonathan Prater of Philippines. She also will be remembered by Best Friend and Caretaker: Sharon McCarty of Pierceton and Life Partner and Best Friend: Larry Yates of Pierceton.
She was preceded in death by her brother: Joe Prater.
