Melissa Jane "Missy" Naugler

Melissa Jane "Missy" Naugler, 42, of Springfield, OH (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at her home in Springfield. She was born on April 12, 1971 in Fort Wayne, IN to Stephen A & Nina Jane (Sparrow) Naugler.

She graduated in 1989 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and from Ball State University in Muncie. She then completed her Master’s Degree and was working on her Doctorate both thru the University of Phoenix. She moved to Springfield, OH about 12 years ago from the Syracuse area. She was employed at Ascendum Solutions in Cincinnati, OH and formerly worked at 3 Flags Drive Inn in Syracuse many years ago.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Springfield and formerly attended the Wawasee Heights Baptist Church in Syracuse.

Survivors include:
Parents – Steve & Nina Naugler of Cromwell
2 Sisters – Stacy (Rob Mayhew) Naugler of North Webster & Gretchen (Adam Reel) Kintzel of Syracuse
Maternal Grandfather – J.C. Sparrow of Covington, KY
Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces & Nephews

Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home on Wednesday with Pastor Dan Carlson of the Wolf Lake Baptist Church officiating. Burial will take place at 12:00 noon on Wednesday in the Wolf Lake Cemetery, S 450W, near Wolf Lake.
