Merrilee Wagner (Sands)

Merrilee R. Wagner, 76, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2:12 AM in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana.
Merrilee was born January 25, 1939 in Huntington, Indiana to Raymond and Arlena (McDaniel) Sands.
She first was married Harold Campbell on May 10, 1958. He survives as the father of her children. On June 11, 1983 she and William H. Beahan were married in Winona Lake, Indiana. He died September 18, 1990. Then Merrilee and Larry Wagner were married December 14, 1996 in Warsaw and would share 16 years together until his death June 7, 2013.
Merrilee lived most of her life in Warsaw where she was worked for Cardinal Center for 20 years. She would retire in 2001 as a Director Support Professional in a group home.
She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and crocheting. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling. But most of all Merrilee enjoyed her family and her pets.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Laura and Carl Sowers and son: Scott and Laura Campbell – all of Warsaw; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law: Jean Arsenault of Melbourne, Florida.
Additionally, Merrilee was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Dorothy Gard and Patricia Barker; father: Raymond Sands; mother: Arlena Winkler; and her step father: Clarence Winkler.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of one another Tuesday, August 4th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana. A service celebrating Merrilee’s life will take place Wednesday morning, August 5th beginning at 10 AM in the funeral home. Pastor EJ Underwood of Warsaw Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Merrilee’s memory be given to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in Merrilee’s memory.
The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege to care for the family and friends of Merrilee R. Wagner.
