Michael Hanna

June 1, 1950 — September 9, 2017

On September 9th, after battling cancer for several months, Michael Freeman Hanna oldest son of Virgina (Dimon) and Ardel Hanna, passed away while watching the Notre Dame football game. Known to most as “Mike,” he was 67 at the time of his passing.
Mike was a 1968 graduate of Warsaw Community High School who worked at Zimmer for 46 years, retiring in June 2015. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, playing Tiger Woods Golf with his grandsons, hanging out in the garage with his brother, John, listening to music from Woodstock, and baking fudge brownie pies.
Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sheryl Hanna of Warsaw; his mother, Virginia Hanna of Warsaw; brother, John (Carolyn) Hanna of Leesburg; daughter, Michelle (Scott) Blum of Ft. Wayne and daughter, Heather Hanna. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Ryesha Jackson of Indianapolis, Tanner Blum of Warsaw, Rashaan Jackson of South Bend, Connor Blum of Ft. Wayne, Asher Blum of Ft. Wayne, and Michael Ramirez of Warsaw.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ardel Hanna; brother, Mark Hanna and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may join family for a time of sharing and to celebrate the life of Mike Hanna on Saturday, September 23rd, from 1 to 3 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Burial will take place later in Oakwood Cemetery.
