Mike Koher

September 14, 1956 — June 14, 2024

North Webster

Mike Koher, a lifelong resident of Kosciusko County, unexpectedly passed away in his residence on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on September 14, 1956, in Warsaw, he was the beloved son of Martin Koher and Sandra Ritter (Cooperreider).

Mike graduated from Wawasee High School in 1975 and embarked on a remarkable career journey. For 49 years, he served as a shipping supervisor at Sea Nymph, later rebranded as Polar Kraft Boats. His vibrant personality made him the life of every gathering, and his outgoing nature lit up the room wherever he went.

Beyond work, Mike found joy in various hobbies. He rode his Harley Davidson, volunteered for Toys for Tots with the American Legion Riders Post 223, cooked for charitable events with the American Legion and Eagles, and enjoyed boating, golfing, pool, and bowling. Most importantly, he cherished quality time with friends, family, and his sister, Kathy. Watching his grandkids’ sports and activities brought him immense joy.

Survived by his children—Michael (Tammie) Koher II, Breann (Shane) McCoart, and Kyle Flumbaum—Mike also leaves behind grandchildren Makenzie Koher, Tayteum McCoart, and Kash McCoart. His parents, Martin (Melodie) Koher and Sandra Ritter, and siblings Kathy (Ron) Sindelar, Kevin (Pat) Koher, and Connie Sindelar, mourn his loss alongside extended family members and countless friends.

May Mike’s legacy continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who loved him.
