Mildred Nine (Monroe)

Mildred A. Nine, age 88 and a longtime resident of Warsaw, passed away quietly on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

Born Mildred Monroe on March 20, 1932, she was the daughter of George Monroe and Cora (Wolfe) Monroe. She was married to the late Duane E. Nine on May 15, 1954 and shared more than twenty-six years with him before his unexpected passing in 1980.

A loving, caring person, Mildred was kind-hearted. She was private by nature and enjoyed reading. She was a longtime member of Warsaw Seventh-day Adventist Church. Time spent with her children and grandchildren was precious and she loved them each dearly.

Her family, who survive with memories to cherish, includes sons: Terry (Carol) Nine and Steve Nine both of Warsaw; grandchildren: Daniel Chidester, Scott (Alicia) Nine, Shawn Chidester, Jamie (Gordon) White, Paul Nine, Joshua Owens, David Nine; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in passing by two brothers, two sisters and their parents.

Visitors may join the family for a graveside service on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. The graveside will be held in Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Richard Norris officiating. The procession will gather at 11:45 a.m. at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw.
