Miriam E. "Pat" Benson

Miriam E. “Pat” Benson, 85, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February, 7, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. She was born on March 2, 1931 in Milford, IN to James R. & Pauline O. (Ringler) Losee.

She was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and attended Syracuse High School. She was married on January 24, 1948 In Syracuse, IN to Warren G. Benson who preceded her on December 24, 2013. She as a former co-owner / operator of Syracuse Dry Cleaners for 28 years and worked at Johnson Controls in Goshen for several years.

She was a member of the Church of God in North Webster, formerly attended the Syracuse Church of God & Syracuse Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Gail Benson - Sauers of Goshen

Son – Jim (Pam) Benson of Syracuse

6 Grand – Amanda Benson, Brianne Sauers, Kim Davis, Leslie Vanover, Angela Frost, & David Killian

Several Gt. Grand & numerous Gt. Gt. Grandchildren

3 Sisters – Rosemary “Peg” (Jerry) Method, Janice “Jan” (George) Bowler, and Sharon Kaufman all of Milford

Brother – John Losee of Darlington, WI

She was preceded by her parents, husband, daughter- Janet Patrick, son, Carl Benson, Gt. Gt. Grandsons – Henry Davis & Thomas Archer and brother - Richard Losee.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
