M. Lynn Atwood

M. Lynn Atwood, 70, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 2:44 a.m. on February 13, 2017 at the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on September 4, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN to Richard K. & Beverly (Morse) Weisenfluh.

She graduated in 1965 from Arlington High School in Indianapolis and was married in Indianapolis IN to H. James “Jim” Atwood who preceded her on June 4, 2014. She formerly lived in Indianapolis, IN, North Webster, IN, and Ft. Wayne, IN before moving to Syracuse. She was formerly employed for Wawasee Community School Corporation as a paraprofessional at Syracuse Elementary and formerly co-owned and operated Signs Now in Fort Wayne, IN.

She was a member of the Church of God in North Webster as well as the boat in worship on Lake Wawasee in the summer. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts, working in the yard, spending time at the lake with family, friends, and neighbors.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Jill (Matt) Stahl of Fishers, IN

4 Sons – Jeff (Melissa) Atwood of Leesburg, IN, Brent (Tricia) Atwood & Darin (Michelle) Atwood both of Fishers, IN, & Joshua (Ashley) Atwood of Carmel, IN

Step Daughter - Lisa (David) Georges of Hollywood, FL

13 Grandchildren

2 Brothers – John Weisenfluh of Huntington Beach, CA & Kurt (Krista) Weisenfluh of Schererville, IN

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother - Richard M. “Chip” Weisenfluh.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. At the request of Lynn a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Atwood home, 712 E. Medusa St., Syracuse, IN with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating a brief service at 2:00 p.m.  Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington. St, Syracuse, IN is in charge of the arrangements.
