Myrtle Luella Sliter, age 87 of Warsaw, passed away quietly on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Millers Merry Manor in Warsaw.
Born on January 12, 1935, Myrtle was the daughter of Freemont and Grace (Huffman) Hollar. She spent most of her lifetime in Kosciusko County, attended Milford schools and grew up on the family farm there. A true farm girl at heart, Myrtle loved animals, especially dogs.
Professionally, Myrtle retired from DaLite Screen in 2002. She also owned and operated a janitorial service with her husband, Paul. She enjoyed BINGO, country gospel music and was a member of The Sanctuary Church in Syracuse.
Married to Paul R. Sliter on August 16, 1969, Paul preceded her in passing in February 2020. She was also preceded in passing by two sons, Randy Veach and Devon Veach; stepson, Kenny Sliter and by brother, Harold Hollar. Those who survive include son, Russell (Janet) Veach of North Manchester; stepsons, Harvey (Julia) Sliter of Plymouth and Jim (Pat) Sliter of Conway, AR; two stepdaughters, Marie Sliter of Culver and Veada Moon of Little Rock, AR; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren
Myrtle's funeral care is entrusted to Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Friends may gather there on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 between 10 am and Noon. Beginning at Noon, Pastor Craig Fritchley will officiate Myrtle's Life Celebration®. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery.
