Nancy J. Melton, age 80 of Warsaw passed away in her sleep in the early hours of January 21, 2021 at home in Warsaw.
Born in Tipton, Indiana on February 10, 1940, Nancy was raised in nearby Russiaville where she graduated from Western High School. On July 27, 1963, Nancy was married to David Melton in Russiaville; he survives in Warsaw as do their sons.
Professionally, Nancy worked at Jo Mac Glove; Warsaw Coil and Zimmer-Biomet. More personally, Nancy was an avid reader and puzzler who enjoyed card games, especially Solitaire. She was easy to talk to and was giving to a fault. She had a good sense of humor and a memorable, easy laugh. She enjoyed gambling and trips to Las Vegas. She loved her grandchildren and family with every bit of her huge heart.
Those who survive with memories to cherish include her husband, David Melton; two sons: David Melton Jr. and Nick (Amy) Melton – all of Warsaw; eight grandchildren: Zach Frantz, Dana Heath, Ashley Shepherd, Nicole McCarthy, Britny Melton, Kyleigh Melton, Griffin Melton and Brenden Melton and brother, Gary Thomas. She was preceded in passing by her mother, Phyllis Thomas and two sisters, Terry Thomas and Janice Sanders.
Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is assisting the family with private services. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice who aided in Nancy’s care as her health declined. Gifts may be mailed to 1515 Provident Drive, Warsaw, IN 46580.
