Nancy M. Savala

Nancy M. Savala, 79, of Milford, IN passed away at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare in Milford, IN. She was born on February 25, 1939 in Bremen, IN to Albert & Mary Ellen (Wisler) Stevens.

She grew up in Wakarusa and attended Wakarusa High School. She was married on December 29, 1988 in Reno, NV to Lollie A. Savala, who preceded her on April 11, 2007. She also lived in New Paris & Woodland, CA before moving to Milford for the past 30 years. She was formerly employed at Holiday Rambler in Wakarusa and Woodland, CA and was the former manager of Whetten Pizza in Milford for 21 years.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Pam (Richie) Walker of Milford

2 Sons-Steve Whetten Sr. of Syracuse and Albert Whetten of Woodland, CA

3 Grandchildren-Steve Whetten Jr., Cory Whetten, and Stephanie Whetten

3 Step Granddaughters – Kasandra (Jeremy Howard) Lanham of Leesburg; Jessica (Jeremiah) Criqui of Albion, and Kyra Davis of Milford

3 Great Grand & 6 Step Gt. Grandchildren

Sister –Barbara (Ryner) Williams of Suntan Valley, AZ

3 Brothers – Eugene (Mary Ann) Stevens of Mishawaka, Edwin Stevens of Wakarusa, and Rick (Ann) Stevens of Goshen

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son – Russell Whetten, and sister – Betty Milton.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow  at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will take place in the Milford Cemetery.
