Nathan David Bowerman, 29, of Port Saint Lucie, FL (former summer resident of Black’s Landing on Tippecanoe Lake), passed away October 6, 2016 after a three year battle with cancer. He was born in Kokomo, IN on March 15, 1987 to David & Joni (Black) Bowerman.

He graduated from Port Saint Lucie High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University. After college, he held management positions for Abercrombie and Fitch, The Vitamin Shoppe, and 321 Boat Club.

Nathan is survived by:

Parents - Dave and Joni Bowerman of Port Saint Lucie, FL

Sister - Jessica (Tommy) Sprague of Orlando, FL,

Twin brother – Jeremy (Channing) Bowerman of Fort Lauderdale, FL

2 Nieces - Brooke and Addison

Paternal grandparents - Don and Edna Earle Bowerman of Birmingham, AL

Maternal grandmother - Dolores Black of North Webster, IN

Many other extended family members in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, and Florida.

Nathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather - Orlie Black, and his aunt - Melissa Black.

A life celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Church of God, 301 N. Main St., North Webster, IN. Burial will follow in the North Webster Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is handling local arrangements.

Memorial donations may be given to the Indian River State College Foundation with “Nathan Bowerman Memorial Scholarship” in the memo line. Please mail to IRSC Foundation, 3209 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
