Nelson Collins, Jr., 78, passed away Friday, December 05, 2014 at 9:15 AM in Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw, Indiana.
Nelson was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on November 20, 1936 to Nelson and Gypsy Collins, Sr. He was a resident of Kosciusko County most of his life. Nelson retired from Choretime Brock after 33 years of dedicated employment. He was an Assembler starting August 4, 1966 until his retirement January 4, 1999.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law: Tanya and Bruce Reinhart, Syracuse, Indiana; 5 grandchildren: Junior Reinhart, Franklin Hibshman, Jr., Tressie Blocher, Brandy Light and Nelson Blocher; 8 great grandchildren and a sister Mildred Powers, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Nelson was preceded in death by a son: James Nelson Collins (April 1974); seven sisters and three brothers.
Family and friends will gather for a time to share memories Monday, December 8th from 5-8 PM in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating Nelson’s life will take place Tuesday morning, December 9th beginning at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Bob Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery,
The family has asked that gifts in Nelson’s memory be directed to Alzheimer’s Association, 9135 N. Meridian St. Suite B-4, Indianapolis, Indiana 46209-7109.
