Neva Gross (Gross)

Neva Jeanette Gross, 98, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:23 PM in Grace Village Assisted Living facility, Winona Lake, Indiana.
The oldest of seven children belonging to Earl and Katie Pearl (Ropp) Gross, Neva was born May 24, 1917 in the Old McDonald Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana. She was the salutatorian of the 1936 graduating class of Warsaw High School.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, Neva was employed for 4 years each by Playtime Products and Atlas Steel and Tube. Then for 50 years she worked for Sun Metal and retired December 2, 1996 as a production control clerk.
Neva was a member of First Brethren Church and the American Legion Auxiliary where she had been a past president and for 40 years served as its secretary. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and enjoyed being a part of Kosciusko County’s Senior Citizens Center. Neva enjoyed reading and spending many enjoyable hours with her favorite books.
Family members left with memories to share of a life well lived are her 4 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law: Laurence and Athalia Gross, Pierceton, Indiana; Max Gross, Warsaw; Walter Gross of Oceanside, California; Paul and Shirley Gross of Kansas City, Missouri as well as many nieces and nephews. Two brothers – Robert Gross and William Gross preceded her in death.
Family and friends will gather to share memories Friday, July 17th from 10 AM – 12 Noon in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. As service celebrating the life of Neva Jeanette Gross will take place beginning at noon in the funeral home. Pastor Bob Jarboe, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice chaplain will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in memory of Neva be directed to Grace Village Assisted Living, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, Indiana 46590 or to First Brethren Church, 1318 E. Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
