Neva Patterson, 90, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 8:31 PM in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, Indiana.
Neva was born to Waldo and Verle (Morris) David June 10, 1924 in North Grove, Indiana. She was a 1942 graduate of Pierceton High School.
She and William Eugene Patterson were joined in marriage October 17, 1953 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
A lifetime Kosciusko County homemaker, she was a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church, Warsaw. In years past she belonged to the Crossroads Homemakers Club. Neva was a stay at home mom who gently loved and cared for her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: David Patterson, Warsaw; and Kenneth and Cynthia Patterson, Syracuse, Indiana; daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Joe Patrick, Syracuse; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Preceding her death is her husband: William Eugene Patterson (June 4, 2012), son: Michael Patterson (October 3, 1979); grandson: Johnathon Patterson (February 22, 2008); sister: Wanita Wertenberger; and brother: Doran David.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Wednesday, July 2nd from 5-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Neva Patterson will take place Thursday, July 3rd at 3 PM in the funeral home. Pastor Jack Worth of Dutchtown Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Neva’s memory be given to Dutchtown Brethren Church, 4057 E. 300N, Warsaw, Indiana 46582.
