Neva B. Bishop, 93, of Akron, IN passed away at 9:55 p.m. on July 7, 2018 at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, IN. She was born on October 4, 1924 in Oconto, WI to Marvin W. & Bessie (Yschupp) Wayne.
She graduated in 1942 from Galesburg-Augusta High School in Galesburg, MI and attended Western Michigan University where she received her Associate’s Degree in accounting. She was the owner/operator of Bishop Electrics in Galesburg for over 40 years and was married in Galesburg to Rudolph G. Bishop who preceded her in 2004. She was a member of the Pennock Hospital Auxiliary in Hastings, MI and Coast Guard Auxiliary in Key West, FL. She lived most of her life in the Galesburg, MI area and moved to Akron from Hastings, MI in 2013.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters- James (Susan) Bishop-McFarland of Akron and Perry (Debra) Bishop-Smith of Newberry, MI
2 Sons- Jeffrey L. Bishop of Boulder, CO and Paul D. Bishop of Battle Creek, MI
5 Grandchildren & 2 Gt. Grandchildren
Sister- Violet Paladino of Chicago
Several Nieces & Nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 grandsons- Michael R. McFarland & Joshua Bishop, sister- Millie Leng, and brother- Warren Wayne.
No public services will be held at this time. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15 is in charge of arrangements.
