Norma C. Fawley, age 77, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 9:37 p.m. in her home. She was in the loving care of her family.
Norma was born on May 29, 1938 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Roy and Helen (Conn) Ellis.
She was united in marriage to Charles R. Fawley on September 22, 1957 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Norma was a homemaker, a volunteer at Leesburg Elementary School and a very active member of Leesburg United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed many years singing in the choir. She was a member of and had served as president for both the United Methodist Women and the Prisca Circle. In her earlier years, Norma had also served as a leader to the Cub Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, 4-H and as the coach of a girls softball team. Norma loved wiener roasts, crossword puzzles, crocheting and flower gardening. She was rarely known to miss the opportunity to send a greeting card.
She is survived by her husband: Charles Fawley, Warsaw, Indiana; two children – daughter: Jennifer Fawley, Warsaw, Indiana and son: Robert Fawley, Mundelein, Illinois; four grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law: Robert (Karen) Ellis, Pinehurst, North Carolina; sister: Pat Hoopengarner, Terre Haute, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in passing by her parents: Roy and Helen Ellis.
Friends may join the family for a time of sharing Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from
10 AM - 12 Noon at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
A service celebrating Norma’s life will follow beginning at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Pastor Rob Seewald of Leesburg United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow with a graveside service held at Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg, Indiana.
