Norma J. "Jolene" Blanchard

Norma J. “Jolene” Blanchard, 82, of Goshen, IN passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.  She was born on January 30, 1931 in Coloma, MI.

She grew up in Coloma & graduated in 1949 from Coloma High School. She was previously married to Lawrence E. McNutt and in 1971 she married Clarence R. Gross who preceded her in 1994. On April 5, 2004 in Middleburg, FL she married Ervin H. Blanchard who survives.

She was formerly employed at Walter Hagen Golf Company in Grand Rapids, MI; was the Food, Garden, Radio & Television Editor for the Peninsula Herald in Monterey, CA for several years, and was a private secretary for many years.

She moved to Goshen in 2009 from Columbia City (Loon Lake) and previously lived in North Webster, Marion, OH & Florida.

She is survived by:
Husband – Ervin Blanchard of Goshen
Daughter – Ruth Ann Heiser of Avon, CT
Son – Glenn McNutt of Marion, OH
2 Step Sons – David (Kay) Blanchard of Maumee, OH & Jerry Blanchard of Goshen
8 Grand & 14 Gt. Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband – Clarence Gross & 2 half sisters.

Private graveside services were held at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, IN on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
