Norman W. "Dick" Rhodes

Norman W. “Dick” Rhodes, 93, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 11:32 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Goshen Hospital. He was born on October 5, 1926 in Pierceton, IN to John A. & Martha L. (Roberts) Rhodes.

He graduated in 1944 from North Webster High School, was a United States Army veteran, and lived most of his life in the North Webster area except for a brief time in Waynedale, IN. He was married on November 22, 1952 in Kendallville, IN to Sara M. Gaff who survives. He formerly worked at ABC Industries in Winona Lake for 25 years as a plant superintendent and at Kroger Foods Corporate Headquarters for 14 years.

He was a member of the American Legion #253 for in North Webster for 73 years.

He is survived by:

Wife – Sara Rhodes of Warsaw

4 Sons – John Rhodes of Canton, OH, Jeff (Kelly) Rhodes of Brookston, IN, Jerry (Elizabeth) Rhodes of Canton, OH, and Jay (Stacy) Rhodes of North Webster, IN

11 Grand & 5 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Peggy (Hal) Minear of North Webster

Brother – Jerry (Julia) Rhodes of North Webster

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters – Rose Hendricks & Evelyn Duke, and 3 brothers – Robert Rhodes, Jack Rhodes, and Gordon Rhodes.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the North Webster American Legion. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN is in charge of arrangements.
