Ortie G. Manns, 76, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 7:02 AM in Fairview Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.
Ortie was born June 8, 1938 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Dorton and Dollie (Mullins) Manns. He was a resident of Milford, Indiana (Kosciusko County) for most of his life.
He was retired as a Supervisor with Uniroyal where he had been employed for more than 26 years; former owner of The Keg in Leesburg, Indiana.
He belonged to the Black Angus Association, various bowling leagues and Hoosier Shuffle Board League; his greatest pride and joy was his children and grandchildren and going to their sporting events.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Devon and Carol Manns of Syracuse, Indiana; 2 daughters: Jeannette Manns of Leesburg and Tina Hamman of Warsaw; 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren; 2 brothers and sister-in-law: Gene and Geri Manns of Claypool, Indiana and Mitch Manns of Phoenix, Arizona; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law: Grace Azbell of Wabash, Indiana, Becky and Duane Spangle of Claypool and Della and Lamon Leckrone of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Infant Vincent Allen Manns, (October 1968); Grandson, Craig Whetteh; 3 brothers: Russell Manns, Ed Manns and Dayton Manns.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Wednesday, August 13th from 1-3 PM and 5-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A funeral celebrating the life of Ortie G. Manns will begin at 4:30 PM, Thursday, August 14th at Titus Funeral Home with Pastor William Whitaker, Warsaw Family Worship Center officiating. Internment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.
