Patty Swope

Patricia Ann Swope, longtime resident of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the age of 68. Known to all as Patty, she was born on August 20, 1954, in Kokomo, Indiana to Harry and Barbara Price (Lee). Patty was a caring and affectionate person who will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

On April 3, 1971, she married Michael D. Swope and together they spent their lives raising their two children. Professionally, Patty worked for many years in produce at Kroger and later as a cashier at Meijer until her retirement in 2017.

Patty had many interests, but she found enjoyment in watching tv shows such as soap operas, NCIS, and Naked and Afraid. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. Her proudest accomplishments were being a loving mom and grandma.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Michael D. Swope; children, Michael S. Swope and Melissa (Joshua) Dunnuck; grandchildren, Emma A. Dunnuck, Logan J. Dunnuck, and Matthew S. Hatcher; as well as great-grandchildren, Mathias Hatcher, Wyatt Hatcher, Emmett Himes, and Alayna Himes. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Estes. She is preceded in passing by her parents, and brothers Harry Price Jr. and Richard Price.
