Patricia G. “Pat” Stewart, 76, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 2:52 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at I.U. Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. She was born on March 6, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN to Elmer & Louise (Gaskins) Gebhardt.

She graduated in 1958 from Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis and attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. She was married on January 1, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN to Donald E. “Don” Stewart who survives. She was a homemaker and retired from Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services in Indianapolis, IN after several years of service. She formerly worked at 5th Army Headquarters at Fort Harrison in Indianapolis. She was a lifetime Indianapolis area resident until she moved to Syracuse 12 years ago.

She was a member of the Wawasee Community Bible Church in Milford and formerly attended the Horizon Christian Fellowship in Indianapolis. Active volunteer for the Wheeler Mission Ministry in Indianapolis & World Missionary Press in New Paris.

She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by:

Husband – Don Stewart of Syracuse

Daughter – Kathy (Norm) Davis of Southport, NC

Son – Dr. Brian Keith (Bonnie) Stewart of Australia

4 Grand & 1 Gt. Grandson

Sister – Mary Katsaropoulos of Syracuse

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister – Carol Baldwin.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jack Barthel, former minister of the Wawasee Community Church officiating. A committal service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel, 700 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208 with Pastor Douglas Barnes officiating.

Preferred memorials may be given to the World Missionary Press, 19168 Co Rd 146, New Paris, IN 46553 or China Bible Mission, c/o Wallace St. Church, 4805 E. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN 46201. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
