Paul McCammon

Paul McCammon, 84, of North Webster, IN passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Tidewell Hospice in Ellenton, FL. He was born on December 15, 1933 in Paxton, IN to Harold & Elizabeth (Pekelnisky) McCammon.

He graduated in 1951 from Carlisle High School and attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN where he received his B.A.and Master’s degrees.  He was married on May 26, 1956 in Carlisle, IN to Marilyn I. Abrams who survives.  He was a United States Army veteran and worked most of his life as a school teacher.  He was previously employed at Frankfort High School in Frankfort, IN and retired from Huntington North High School in Huntington, IN after 30 years.  He moved to the North Webster area in 1998.

He is survived by:

Wife – Marilyn McCammon of North Webster

Son – Mark (Sarah) McCammon of Columbia City, IN

2 Grandchildren – Spencer & Lindsey McCammon of Columbia City

Sister – Martha (Jerry) Blice of Terre Haute

Niece – Amie (Marc) Baldus of St. Paul, IN

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500 N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018.   Burial will follow at Thorn Cemetery near Kimmell.

Preferred memorials may be given to Tidewell Hospice, Philanthropy Department, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238.   Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
