Paula O. Ryman, 74, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her home. She was born on January 9, 1943 in Robbinsville, NC to Paul & Thelma (Cook) Colvard.
She attended high school in Robbinsville, NC and moved to the Syracuse area in 1972 from Albion, IN. She was married on August 30, 1980 in Syracuse, IN to Tommy L. Ryman who survives. She retired from Dana Corporation (formerly Weatherhead Corporation) in Syracuse after 20+ years.
She was member of the Eagles Lodge in Albion and attended the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel in Syracuse.
She is survived by:
Husband – Tommy Ryman of Syracuse
2 Daughters – Tami (Sam) Coquillard of Syracuse & Kimberly Granger of Syracuse
3 Step Daughters – Lynn (Dennis) Green of Warsaw, Barbara Hudson of Warsaw, and Vicki Ryman Modesto, CA
2 Grandchildren – Stefanie Coburn of Fort Wayne & Samantha Coquillard of Cedar Rapids, IA
7 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, step daughter – Teri Moreira, step son – Steven Ryman, and brother – Homer Colvard.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Harlan Steffen of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
