Paul Eugene Stouder Jr., 84, of Syracuse, IN passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on August 8, 1934 in Goshen, IN to Paul Eugene & Gladys (Markham) Stouder Sr.
He lived most of his life in the Syracuse area, graduated from Indiana Soldiers’ & Sailors’ Children’s Home in Knightstown, IN and attended Ball State University. He retired from Syracuse Rubber Co. after 25 years and formerly worked at the Old Bag Factory & the Proof Co. both in Goshen.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 223 in Syracuse & American Legion Riders in Millersburg. He was a former member of the V.F.W. Post 1342 in Syracuse and formerly attended the Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse.
He is survived by:
Daughter – Pam Nickels of Syracuse
Son – David Michael Stouder of Leesburg
5 Grand, 18 Gt. Grand, and 6 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren
Brother – Timothy Stouder of Florida
He was preceded in death by his parents & gt. grandson – Jimmy Jones, gt. granddaughter Tara Thornburg, and brother – Glen Stouder.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor David Henry officiating. Private burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
