Peggy Lackey-Marsillett, age 69 of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly at Kosciusko Community Hospital on Friday, April 16, 2021.
The daughter of the late Robert and Norma (Freeman) Lackey, she was born in Warsaw on November 12, 1951. She grew up in and around Warsaw and spent more than 25 years with Zimmer, starting her career caring for the building and grounds.
More personally, Peggy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her love for her family was unconditional, without exception and truly remarkable. She enjoyed gardening and canned the fruits of her labor for many years. She also enjoyed fishing and cooking though time spent with her family was her greatest love.
Remembered as fiercely independent, occasionally stubborn and loving without reservation, Peggy is survived by her husband, Earl Marsillett; daughters: Lisa (Jimmy) Seeley of Warsaw and Tammy (Mike) Swihart of Warsaw; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and six siblings: Mike (Lynn) Lackey, Charlene (Brad) Witham, Dewey (Dee) Lackey, Kathy Cutler, Dan (Deb) Lackey and Jane Lackey. She is also survived by three stepchildren and their families: Shannon Hurd, Stephanie (Jeff) Igney and Jason Marsillett.
Friends may gather to celebrate Peggy’s life at Warsaw Family Worship Center, 1250 Husky Trail in Warsaw on Thursday, April 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. Beginning at 7 p.m., Pastor William Whitaker will officiate Peggy’s Life Celebration®. Titus Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial gifts be directed toward final expenses, care of Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw.
