Phillip L. “Phil” Scott, 69, passed away Monday, August 29, 2015 at 7:19 p.m. in his Winona Lake, Indiana.
Phil, the son of Carl L. and Mary J. (Lee) Scott, was born September 27, 1936 in Marion, Indiana. He was a 1954 graduate of Mississinewa High School, Gas City, Indiana.
SP4 Phillip L. Scott served in the National Guard from March 6, 1956 - March 5, 1963 when he was honorably discharge.
Margaret “Peg” Fixel would become his wife September 6, 1990 in Marion.
Phil was a machinist for Chrysler’s Transmission Group for 32 years.
He was a longtime member of the UAW Union. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. Phil had been involved with the Warsaw Citizens Police Academy.
Survivors include 3 children: Patricia Mae Thomas of Charleston, West Virginia; Kathy Jo of West Virginia; and Michael E. Scott of Kokomo, Indiana; 1 sister and brother-in-law: Marjorie and James Jones of Warren, Indiana; 2 step daughters: Margaret Miller of Hartford City, Indiana and Melissa of Illinois; and 1 step son: Richard Bradley of Illinois.
Preceding Phil in death was his wife: Margaret “Peg” Scott (April 25, 2013) and his parents.
Per his request there will be no visitation or service.
