Phyllis Mullett

Phyllis E. Mullett, 80, of Milford (formerly of North Webster) died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on February 23, 1929 in Leesburg, IN to Earl & Blanche L. (Tom) Sutton.
She graduated in 1947 from Leesburg High School. On December 22, 1950 in Warsaw, she married DeWitt (Dutch) Mullett who preceded her January 1999. She was a former co-owner of Mullett Sign Company of North Webster; formerly employed at Tippecanoe Township Assessor's Office and Kosciusko County Recorder's Office as a clerk. She previously worked as a secretary for Crystal Flash Bulk Plant in North Webster and Don Hogan Investment Company in Warsaw. She was a lifetime North Webster area resident until 2000 when she moved to Milford.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters - Mrs. Bruce (Elaine) Wakefield of Nappanee & Mrs. Kip (Sandi) Shuter of Warsaw
5 Grandchildren - Dan (wife, Joy) Wakefield, Brenda & Karen Wakefield, Andrew & Stephanie Shuter
1 Great Grandchild - Alec Wakefield
1 Sister - Mrs. Pete (Marilyn) Wuthrich of Nappanee
2 Brothers - Keith (wife, Joan) Sutton of Greenville, SC, Leon (wife, Sally) Sutton of CA, & Nelson (wife, Susie) Sutton of Warsaw.
She was preceded by: Parents, Husband & 1 Brother - Kenneth Sutton.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 and 1 hour prior to the funeral service at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor Roderick Smith of Calvary Baptist Church, Oswego. Burial will be in the Leesburg Cemetery.
Memorial bequest may be given to North Webster Lions Club or Donor's Choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
