Polly Allen (Tackett)

Polly Allen, of Claypool, passed away quietly at Lutheran Hospital on Friday December 31, 2021, at the age of 77.

Born in Warsaw on September 21, 1944, she was the daughter of Andrew and Addie Tackett. Polly was one of 17 children. In 1976, she married Monroe Allen and together they raised their children. Polly worked at multiple places and then became a home maker.

Polly was a very loving and caring person. She especially loved spending time with her family and gardening and canning. She loved helping her church and serving the lord. She also enjoyed shopping and flea market.

Polly is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Monroe; children, Addie Powell, Curtis Allen, and Charlie (Chanda) Allen; step children, Troy (Janine) Hoskins and Jimmy (Clistie) Hoskins; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; siblings, Mandy Clabaugh, Frank (Bev) Tackett, Fay Brunner, Ray Tackett, Geraldine Blair, and Kathleen (James) Griffith. She is further survived by many extended family members and numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Teresa Sharp; grandson, John Sharp; and siblings, Leo Tackett, Hargus Tackett, Harkless Tackett, Carol Griffith, Charlie Tackett, Pauline Tackett, Martha Shepherd and Marie Heeter.

Friends and family may gather for visitation on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the Life Celebration® at 12:00 PM at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St. Warsaw, IN 46580. Pastor Etsie Allen will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
