Priscilla “Faye” Gross, 78, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 8:57 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Kosciusko Community Hospital. She was born on January, 16, 1932 in Hancock Co., KY to Jasper L. and Mary Audeline (Staples) Pearson.
She was a lifetime Kosciusko County area resident. She graduated in 1950 from North Webster High School and later from Ravenscroft Beauty School in Fort Wayne. She was married on June 25, 1950 in North Webster to William L. “Bill” Gross who preceded her in 1989. She was owner / operator of Faye’s Beauty Salon in Oswego for over 40 years. She was a member of the North Webster American Legion Auxiliary Post 253 for 61 years, Leesburg Travelers, served on the Oswego Cemetery Board for many years, and was a former member of O.E.S. (Order of Eastern Star) in Leesburg.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters – Cindy Humes of Leesburg & Mrs. Tim (Sue) Simison of Warsaw
1 Son – Gary Gross of Warsaw
6 Grand – Jack Simison, Noah (wife, Crystal) Simison, Brandie Hammon, James Troxell, Todd Michael (wife, Kim) Gross, & Adam Gross
4 Great Grandchildren – Brianna, Dylan, Ash, & Mason
1 Sister- Ruth L. “Vonnie” Wiggs of Pierceton
2 Brothers- John (wife, Marge) Pearson of North Webster & Ron “Red” (wife, Liz) Pearson of Leesburg, IN
She was preceded by her parents, husband, & brother – Jim Pearson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster, IN. Private family graveside services will be held on Monday at the Oswego Cemetery.
Memorial bequest may be given to American Cancer Society, 601 W. Edison, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
