Priscilla Sue Vance, 75 of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 after an extended illness. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.
One of six children, she was the daughter of Erwin Stevens and Doris (Vanderpool) Stevens. Priscilla was born on November 11, 1940 in Warsaw. She was a 1958 graduate of Leesburg High School, Leesburg, Indiana. She was also the valedictorian of her class. Later, she would graduate from International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana
On February 3, 1962, Priscilla was united in marriage to Everett Vance in Warsaw. Together the two would share nearly 55 years and many memories. Everett survives in Warsaw
Priscilla worked as a secretary for Peter Eckrich and Sons, Fort Wayne, and as a realtor for Center Realty, Warsaw.
An avid reader, she fancied murder mysteries and was a fan of Agatha Christie. She liked all kinds of animals, especially dogs. Above all else, Priscilla was a loving, caring mother.
In addition to her husband, Everett, those left to cherish memories of Priscilla include her two daughters: Teresa (and husband, John) Carpenter and Stefanie Vance, both of Warsaw; three grandchildren: Jason (and wife, Ashley) Baker of Warsaw, Jessica Baker of Pierceton, Indiana and Kylie Carpenter of Warsaw; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Sandra (and husband, Bill) Vanator of Berne, Indiana, Carolyn Robinson of Warsaw and Donna (and husband, Donald) Robinson of Warsaw; and a brother: Robert (and wife, Nora) Stevens of Warsaw.
Those who preceded Priscilla in passing include her parents: Erwin and Doris Stevens and a sister: Martha Fawley.
Friends may gather with the family to share memories in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, on Tuesday, August 16th from 6 to 7 pm and again on Wednesday, August 17th from 11 am to Noon.
A funeral service celebrating Priscilla’s life will take place at 12 o’clock, Noon on Wednesday in the funeral home. Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate the service with burial will be in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
