Ralph Caudill

Ralph Caudill, 71, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 8:40 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his home. He was born on March 26, 1943 in Melvin, KY to Alvin & Pearlie (Slone) Caudill.

He grew up in Kentucky and graduated in 1963 from Wheelwright High School in Wheelwright, KY. He moved from Kentucky to Elkhart, IN in 1963 and then to Syracuse in 1972.

He was married on December 17, 1966 in Elkhart to Beatrice K. “Kay” Morse who survives. He retired in 2003 from Dana Corporation (formerly Weatherhead) in Syracuse after 31 years of service and formerly worked at Windsor Trailer Factory in Bristol for 10 years.

He is survived by:
Wife – Kay Caudill of Syracuse
Daughter – Misty Conrad of Syracuse
Son – Donald R. (Norma) Caudill of North Webster
10 Grand & 8 Gt. Grandchildren
4 Sisters – Melvie Newman of Arkansas, Mavis Mounts of Columbus, OH, Bonnie Blankenship of Columbus, OH and Claudette Edwards of Elkhart
3 Brothers – Elmer “Ray” (Barb) Caudill of Elkhart, Donald (Peggy) Caudill of Elkhart and Joseph (Jackie) Caudill of Melvin, KY

He was preceded in death by his parents, son – Travis Caudill, 3 sisters – Helen Johnson, Jewel Agnes Caudill and Wilma Jane Caudill and an infant brother – Ronald James Caudill.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home on Tuesday with Rev. Ray Caudill officiating. Private family burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery, CR 29, Syracuse, IN.

Memorial bequest may be given to Ralph Caudill Funeral Fund, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
