Ramona J. Terry, 78, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on January 27, 1933 in Keensburg, IL to Richard O. & Mary E. (Calvin) Butler.
She graduated from Tech High School in Indianapolis, IN. She was married in 1950 to Eugene Henry and he preceded her in death and then in 1962 she married Marion Terry who also preceded her. She retired in 1993 from Hamilton Centers in Noblesville, IN as a houseparent and then moved to the Syracuse area from Noblesville.
She was a member of the Syracuse Baptist Church, Eagles Lodge in Syracuse, & American Legion Auxiliary Post 223 in Syracuse. She was a former member of the Wawasee Community Bible Church in Milford and Order of Eastern Star in Fortville, IN.
She is survived by:
2 Sons – Richard (wife, Debbie) Henry of North Webster & Michael (wife, Nancy) Henry of Fillmore, IN
1 Daughter – Mrs. David (Teresa) Kerns of Indianapolis, IN
4 Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Syracuse Baptist Church, 10013 N. Syracuse-Webster Rd, Syracuse, IN. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church on Tuesday with Pastor Merv Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
Memorial bequest may be given to the American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96 th St., Indianapolis, IN 46278. Envelopes will be available at the church.
