Randy Slone, lifelong resident of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the age of 65. He was born on April 30, 1958, the son of Lamon and Annabell Slone (Robinson). Randy led a fulfilling life, leaving a great loss in the lives of those who knew him best.
In his professional career, Randy devoted 40 years to Dalton Foundry before retiring. He was a proud member of the United Steel Workers Union, showcasing his commitment and loyalty both in the workplace and beyond. On July 19, 1975, he married his true love, Jessie Swindle. Together they shared 48 years of happiness, raising their two children.
Randy's passion for spending time with family and friends was evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His love for vegetable gardening, attending auctions, and collecting antiques brought joy into his life and inspired those around him.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jessie Slone of Warsaw, their daughter Rachel Ann Sanford of Warsaw, and cherished grandchildren, Joshua Robert Slone of Albion, Patience Marie Slone of Johnson City, TN, and Gavin James Truex of Fort Wayne. He is further survived by his nephews Aaron A. Slone of Warsaw and Kyle E. Slone along with many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in passing by his parents, son, Scott Anthony Slone, and brother, Evert E. Slone.
Titus Funeral Home is entrusted with the care of Randy and his family. Friends and family may gather for visitation there, 2000 Sheridan St. Warsaw, IN, on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
