Rebecca C. "Becky" Conkling

Rebecca C. “Becky” Conkling, 60, of North Webster, IN passed away at 11:29 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on March 30, 1959 in Columbia City, IN to Paul Frederick & Norma Lenore (Harper) Krauss.

She attended Belmont High School in Decatur, IN and moved to the North Webster area 35 years ago from Decatur, IN. She was married on June 12, 1993 in North Webster, IN to Danny “Dan” Conkling who survives. She retired in 2018 from the United States Postal service in Syracuse, IN after 15 years and formerly worked at Tranter Graphics in Syracuse.

She grew up in the Baptist Church, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 253 & charter member of the American Legion Post 253 Riders both in North Webster.

She is survived by:

Husband – Dan Conkling of North Webster

Daughter – Xanthia Gaines of Chicago, IL

Son – David (Angel) O’Campo of Princeton, KY

3 Stepsons – Chris (Alicia) Conkling of Pendleton, IN, Jamie (Bev) Conkling of Decatur, and Erik (Anna) Conkling of North Webster

13 Grand & 3 Gt. Grandchildren

4 Sisters – Jewell (Jerry) McLaughlin of Howe, IN, Sandra Sanchez of Decatur, Carlene Shaffer of Decatur, and Kathleen (Larry) Cooper of Charlotte, NC

She was preceded in death by her parents & brother – Paul Krauss Jr.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
