Biography
Regina Poe, 44, of Claypool, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 7:25 PM in University Hospitals - Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Regina was born December 13, 1969 in Warsaw, Indiana to Reginold and Zelvia (Newsome) Gayheart. On June 4, 2011, also in Warsaw, she and Stephen Poe were joined in marriage.
A lifetime Warsaw area resident, Regina was employed as a CNA at Grace Village Nursing Home, Winona Lake, Indiana.
Survivors include husband, Stephen Poe, Indiana; 2 sons: Arthur Crit Martin and Zachary Austin Blackburn – both of Claypool; daughter: Kayla Michelle Shepherd, Claypool; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Carolyn Sue and Sterling Hall, Fort Wayne, Indiana and Rosalind and Jimmy Gillespie of Floyd County, Kentucky; 5 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law: Dewey Gayheart, Columbia City, Indiana; Jimmy and Julia Gayheart, Warsaw; Shannon Gayheart, Warsaw; Reginold and Hollie Gayheart of Loudonville, Ohio; and Paul and Nita Gayheart of Warsaw; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Boyd and Shirley Poe, Claypool; brother-in-law: William Poe, Cromwell, Indiana; several aunts and uncles who loved her dearly; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
Regina was preceded in death by her father: Reginold Gayheart (December 16, 2001), mother: Zelvia Gayheart (September 12, 2012); and brother: Elvis Dean Gayheart.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Friday, September 19th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
A service celebrating the life of Regina Poe will take place Saturday, September 20th, beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Dean Ealey and Pastor William Whitaker will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
