Richard D. Bridgewater Jr.

Richard D. Bridgewater Jr., known affectionately as Rick, passed away unexpectedly in his residence on Monday, April 22, 2024, at the age of 68. He was born in Louisiana on June 22, 1955, to his loving parents Richard D. Bridgewater and Alice Ashbaugh. Rick was a dedicated family man and a role model to many.

Rick had a fulfilling career as a quality control manager for Ziggity Systems Inc. in Middlebury, Indiana. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail were evident in all aspects of his work. Rick was also an honorably discharged veteran. After retiring, he lived out his dream of living on the lake and owning a boat.

Outside of work, Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and indulging in his hobbies, which included video gaming and cherishing moments with his grandchildren. He found great joy in these simple pleasures and always made time for those he loved.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tracey Bridgewater, sons, Richard Donald Bridgewater III, Caleb Jacob Bridgewater, and Adam Jerod Bridgewater, as well as grandchildren, Braylee and Alora, and bonus grandchildren, Briar, Weslynn and Joseph. He was also a beloved brother to Robin and Rena Bridgewater and Wayne, Steve, and Carol Lynn Haines. He is preceded in passing by his parents and sister, Renee Bridgewater.
