Richard Martin Bloom

Richard Martin Bloom, 91, of Plymouth, IN passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born on July 30, 1924 in Chicago, IL to Eric Martin & Electa Mae (Cunningham) Bloom.
He graduated in 1943 from Steimetz High School in Chicago and was a United States Navy veteran. He was married on May 15, 1949 in Chicago, IL to Shirley Ann Sandell who preceded him on June 23, 2009. He retired as a supervisor / maintenance at Continental Can Company in Chicago. He moved to the Plymouth area in 1994 from Chicago where he had lived most of his life.
He was a member of the Argo Summit Masonic Lodge # 1133 in Chicago.
He is survived by:
Daughter – Pam Bloom of Plymouth
Son – Jeffrey (Janet) Bloom of Oaklawn, IL
4 Grand & 3 Gt. Grandchildren
Sister – Ruth Dimmitt of Fountain, MI
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother – William Bloom.
Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements. Private family graveside services will be held at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Stickney, IL at a later date.
Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
