Richard S. “Dick” Zolman, 89, of North Webster, IN passed away at 8:41 a.m. on Monday August 1, 2011 in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on September 14, 1921 in Athens, IN to Dewey L. & Mary A. (Clingenpeel) Zolman.
He graduated in 1940 from Akron High School in Akron, IN and served in the United States Air Force during WW II & the Korean Conflict. He was married on March 11, 1972 in South Bend, IN to June Buckingham who survives. He moved to the Warsaw area in 1975 from South Bend where he had lived for many years. He was formerly employed with Counting House Insurance Agency in Warsaw for 12 years and retired in 1998 from Hall & Marose Agency, Inc. in Warsaw after 50 years in the insurance industry.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #253 in North Webster. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge, Elks, VFW, & D.A.V. all in Warsaw & the Eagles in Mishawaka. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, boating and fishing on Tippecanoe Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son – Gary Zolman, & sister – Dorothy Mae Benson.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. Military services will follow the visitation at the funeral home by the American Legion Post 253. Graveside services will be held 11:00 on Friday at Riverview Cemetery, 2300 Portage Ave, South Bend, IN
