Richard W. Haflich

Richard W. “Rick” Haflich, 61, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 11:37 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his home. He was born on January 25, 1957 in Vincennes, IN to Richard F. & Jeanne Marie (Norton) Haflich.

He graduated in 1975 from Lincoln High School in Vincennes, attended Vincennes University, and Purdue University Aviation Program. He was married on March 13, 1990 in Phoenix, AZ to Jo Ann (Friedt) Jones who survives. He grew up in Vincennes and moved to Syracuse in 1995 from Louisville, KY. He was the owner / operator of Authentic Hardwood Floor in Syracuse and was a Charter / Corporate Pilot.

He was a member of the Church of God in North Webster, IN.

He is survived by:

Wife – Jo Haflich of Syracuse

2 Daughters – Christina (Ranon) Amundson of Delavan, WI, & Casie Haflich of Muncie, IN

3 Grandchildren

Father – Richard F. Haflich of Vincennes

Sister – Cindy Brown of Sarasota, FL

2 Brothers – Tom (Mary) Haflich of Vincennes & Byron (Lesley) Haflich of Noblesville

He was preceded in death by his mom and brother – Mike Haflich.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. S.R. 15, Warsaw, IN. Memorials services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Church of God, 300 N. Main St., North Webster, IN with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
