Rick E. Scaggs, 54, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Warsaw Meadows Care Center. He was born on October 13, 1956 in Crawfordsville, IN to Robert & Shirley G. (Meeker) Scaggs.
He graduated in 1974 from Knox High School and was married September 10, 1994 in Michigan City, IN to Sonya L. Laycock who survives. He lived most of his life in the Warsaw area and formerly worked at Lake City Medical & Zimmer Corporation in Warsaw.
He is survived by:
Wife – Sonya Scaggs of Lucerne, IN
Son – Rick (fiance, Mindy Mcclure) Scaggs of Warsaw
Mother – Shirley Scaggs of Michigan City, IN
2 Step Sons – David (wife, Adeline) Cunningham & Michael Cunningham
4 Sisters – Mrs. Doug (Karen) Small of Granger; Mrs. Mark (Beth) Poehl of Laporte; Mrs. Scott (Kathy) Weber of Zionsville, IN; & Mrs. Stephen (Deborah) Schlang of Dubai
2 Brothers – Michael (wife, Kay) Scaggs of Weston, FL & Mark (wife, Patty) Scaggs of Knox
He was preceded in death by his father & sister – Patricia Ann Scaggs.
There will be no visitation and private family services will be held at a later date.
