Ricky S. (Rick) Garber, 50 of Sanford, FL (formerly of Nappanee & Goshen, IN) died at 11:30 a.m. on July 27, 2009 at his home. He was born on April 18, 1959 in Goshen, IN to Eldon C. & Carol J. (Balyeat) Garber.
He graduated from Goshen High School in Goshen, IN. He lived most of his life in the Goshen and Nappanee areas before moving to Florida in 2007. He was employed at Target Department Stores in Sanford and had formerly worked for Gulf Stream Coach in Nappanee, IN for 17 years.
He is survived by:
Daughter - Lauren Garber of Milford;
Father - Eldon Garber of Nappanee;
2 Brothers - Troy Garber & Lane Garber both of Goshen;
Sister - Lynn Frye of Shipshewana, IN;
Lifetime companion - Dawn Gainey of Sanford, FL
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Graveside services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Greenwood Cemetery, Corner of C.R.'s 52 & 29, in Syracuse with Rev. Rob Nelson of the Milford United Methodist Church officiating.
